dynasty Episode 123 - The Decision

Since the party announcing the pipeline is over and there is no need to pay the cast of The Colbys, we don't see any of them, other than Miles.  Blake tries to get Jeff to get a hold of himself.  Why would Fallon come to the door of her home and then run off?  Because she is amnesiac, of course.  Blake does not know that, obviously.  Jeff is emphatic that is was Fallon and that she was with some guy.  Jeff is not going to go to California.  He is going to stay in Denver and find Fallon.  Blake thinks this is crazy talk and tries to get Rita to reason with Jeff.

I am sure Rita did not sign up for all of this.  Sammy Jo needs to keep reminding Rita that she is lady of the house so there is no need for her to straighten up.  Sammy Jo's constant hovering around Rita is making family members suspicious, especially Steven.  Steven does not buy that Sammy Jo is a changed woman.  Another suspicious family member is LB.  LB has good proof though.  He overhears Rita telling Sammy Jo that she is not Blake's beloved Krystle.  Does LB say anything?  No, he just give that creepy stare.  No wonder he freaks Rita out.  I am kind of freaked out too.

Why is Rita so obsessed about not being affectionate with Blake?  I thought this woman is an actress, and Blake is not that hideous (even though Joan Collins swore John Forsythe had bad breath).  And Blake is really looking for some.  He was impressed how Rita had charmed the Colby clan, which means that Sable must have lied.  Rita will do anything not to go to bed with Blake.  But, eventually she must and feigns a headache, again.  Blake thinks Sammy Jo is the cause of the headaches.  Rita snaps that it is probably Blake's crazy family members and goes to bed.

Meanwhile, back at Delta Rho, Krystle is quieted with masking tape (that really works).  Joel lets her free and assures her that he would not have to resort to such drastic measures if Krystle would just behave herself.  Krystle begins to remember what happened at Delta Rho but Joel tells her that she is not at Delta Rho and that she is being held for ransom.  Wow, that must have been one hell of a hit by Joel.  Alone later, Krystle, goes through the attic to find a way out - but she is pretty clueless about these things.  Did Krystle really think she could pick a lock?

Michael tries to apologize to Amanda for his behavior.  Amanda wants nothing of it and tells Michael that she wants a divorce and that Blake only gave him the position at La Mirage only because he wanted to give Michael some purpose in life (Amanda used more polite terms).  Michael cannot believe that Amanda told Blake about the divorce first.  What's the big deal?  For some reason, Michael goes to La Mirage just in time to receive Claudia's resignation letter.  Claudia warns Michael that Blake is great as long as you don't fall out of his favor.

I hate to admit it, but visually Claudia and Adam do go together better

Aunt Dominique tries to give Amanda some advice about ending her marriage to Michael so quickly.  Look, I would be like, I took a bullet for you bitch, so you better stayed married.  At least for a year.  Dominique has issues of her own.  Garrett won't give up.  When Dominique arrives in her suite there is Garrett with a night cap.  Garrett wants to pick up where things ended 20 years ago.  Dominique tries to resist him though you can tell she still has feelings.  That must have been one hell of a cruise.  Dominique composes herself and gets Garrett to leave.  After Garrett leaves, Dominique places a call to some finishing school in Switzerland.  Who could be there?

In Moldavia, Sister Alexis must be having a rough time in the very Spartan accommodations.  How can she go without champagne and caviar?  Elena arrives in Sister Alexis's chamber but has no news on Dex.  Then the two verbally fight.  Elena blames Alexis for ruining her engagement to Michael (true), but Alexis retorts that she and her father should not be so jealous of America.  Go U.S.A!  Memo to Alexis, when you are trapped in a hostile country, do not antagonize those helping you.

None of this is helping Dex.  But, Dex does not need any help.  Pretending to be weaker than he is, Dex is able to overpower the one guard watching him.  Dex also finds King Galen.  Unfortunately, King Galen cannot walk.  Now, how Dex is able to carry King Galen out of that dungeon after only over powering 2 guards is beyond me or the writers, because, before you know it, there is Dex dropping off King Galen to the convent.  Galen needs medical attention - they must leave the country.

It's good to be king.  Oh, wait. . .

It's good to be king.  Oh, wait. . .

Why would Dex and Alexis leave the country with Alexis still dressed as a nun? They are looking for a nun.  Even better, Dex is going as a jedi knight.  Oh wait, I mean a monk.  How is that going to work?  Dex has a very recognizable scar on his face.  Fortunately, the border crossing is only protected by a 2x4.  Why even stop - just barrel through it.  That's what they eventually do when the guards figure out that the jedi is Dex.  Dex should have waived his hand and said, "This is not the nun you are looking for".  Maybe next time.  For now, at least they are out of Moldavia.

Miles takes Randall/Fallon away from the party.  Randall/Fallon realizes she is a wreck and has decided that she will no longer cry at houses and that she will no longer chase after who she is.  She is going to go back to California and continue with her life.  Miles is down with that.  The two stop at a motel along the way.  And, can you believe it - there is only one room available.  Randall/Fallon has put off Miles advances long enough and the two make love.

Jeff keeps visualizing how he saw Fallon outside the party.  He cannot recognize Miles but does remember that the plate on the car was a California one.  Logically, that must have been Miles.  What?  Jeff tells Rita that he is going to go to California right away.  That's pretty good for Rita because she had no idea how she was going to convince Jeff not to look for Fallon in Denver.  Blake gives Rita credit where credit was not due.  Since Blake is blue balling it, he can't sleep.  He talks to Jeff at 4am.  Jeff cannot sleep because he is going to take the first flight to California to find Fallon.  This should not be that hard if Fallon is with your cousin.  The only difficult part is that she is with your cousin.

I wonder where Miles and Fallon are at?

Memorable Dialogue

Alexis [to Elena]:  And if people like your father would stop envying Americans and start trying to emulate them, Moldavia and its king would not be in this sorry situation.

Dominique:  How did you get into my suite?
Garrett:  These things can be done.  Gaining access to your room isn't nearly so hard as getting access to your heart.
Dominique:  Oh Garrett, the way to my heart is not through my front door.
